Three generations in dentistry shaped what Incisive became: old-school lab partnership, modern digital quality, and one relationship that holds it all together.

Our story

Incisive was founded by the son and grandson of dentists. My father is a general dentist. My grandfather is a prosthodontist. Both taught at Columbia Dental School, and my grandfather went on to be a founding member of the TOURO Dental school program.

Growing up around their practices, I watched what an old-school dental lab relationship actually looked like — the trust, the shared accountability, the technician who would pick up the phone and walk through a case with you. That kind of partnership has quietly disappeared from most of the industry.

Lab consolidation is accelerating. Private equity has turned a lot of beloved local labs into offshore storefronts. Long-standing relationships aren't safe just because they're long-standing.

At the same time, "going digital" has come to mean a lot less than it should. Most practices simply replace PVS with an intraoral scanner and stop there. They don't bring scanning into hygiene, they don't leverage it for patient engagement, and the full value of the technology stays on the table.

Incisive exists to fix both problems at once. We curate a network of specialty labs — because no single lab can be the best at everything — and we wrap them in a software platform, a support team, and a service model that recreates the old-school feeling at the quality bar of modern digital dentistry.

The practice maintains one relationship: with us. Every partner lab works inside our platform, so the experience stays consistent even as you work with multiple specialists for different cases.
