FAQs:

There are a lot of benefits of a second, third, or even fourth scanner! Many of our practices move their existing scanners to hygiene for wellness scans and use the top-of-the-line Trios for their restorative needs.

While many labs are offering scanners, Incisive wants to ensure that doctors have the autonomy to make clinical decisions, and given no lab can provide the highest quality of every product – making a great feldspathic veneer is a different skill set than making a beautiful denture – we believe having only a single relationship due to accepting a scanner forces providers to sacrifice quality. Having a network of pre-validated labs allows the doctor to make clinical decisions while still maintaining a single protocol for impressions across all cases.

No, Incisive maintains ownership of the scanner but we’re happy to replace it with the latest and greatest over time! We hear “I don’t want to pay for a scanner forever!” but it’s important to remember that Incisive is heavily subsidizing the scanner. If a practice spends $7,000 per month with “In Network Labs” (i.e. Rebate Eligible), the total scanner fee after 5 years would be $21,000. This is about 60% of the cost of a Trios 5 scanner plus 4 years of Trios Care payments, which adds up to around $35,100.

We’ve found a scanner cart is more of a personal decision than you’d think. We offer a pre-built amazon cart with everything you need which totals less than $150. That said, some of our members want premium carts that push north of $500 by themselves so we let our practices take the lead here.

We’re completely transparent about our business model. We receive a percentage of revenue from our lab partners which in turn allows us to provide exceptional service, technology, and continued investment. Our labs in turn receive a group of dedicated clinicians all submitting digitally with the same high-quality technology.

Incisive maintains insurance and warranty on all our Trios units so if anyone drops the scanner or spills a coffee on it, it doesn’t matter. You’ll receive a replacement at no cost to you.

Incisive is committed to the highest quality across the board. When we looked at the available options and were convinced that Trios offers the highest quality restorative scanner on the market. From its ability to scan fully edentulous patients to its ability to support wellness scans for hygiene, we believe it’s the best available.

An FDA-approved milling center is a facility that meets the FDA’s requirements for processing dental implant components and is authorized to produce pre-milled blanks and other implant materials. In layman’s terms, many labs out there will offer a custom abutment milled in house but haven’t gone through the rigorous regulatory process to do so. In truth, it’s a bit of a grey area but we believe sticking with validated centers is best practice and the right decision for your patients and your peace of mind.

No, Incisive provides a customized training program and tracks your implementation success. Practices can learn virtually or for a small fee, have an in-person trainer. Ultimately, training looks different for every office, and we support you based on your needs and tempo.

No! Using a scanner has a short learning curve, especially one as advanced as a Trios! We find most practices are in the routine after 5-10 uses. Typical pitfalls are assuming the technology changes your workflow: you should still pack cord and ensure margins are clear. You get the benefit of reviewing on the touch screen in real time!

We lead a massive effort to interview and evaluate as many labs as we could. We looked at the materials they use, their operating processes, number of facilities, among a variety of other aspects. We identified labs that used the highest quality materials along with a process that minimized variability in the product (i.e. multiple locations with different ways of doing things!).

Yes, Incisive only works with labs that produce restorations domestically. No exceptions.

We want practices to experience enough volume to truly evaluate the network. Between training on new technology and testing a few different labs with a variety of restorations we find this is the ideal period for us and our practice members.

After an initial 6 month period, our agreement moves quarter to quarter – the same as our commitment measurement period – allowing practices to cancel without penalty. All we ask if that you return the scanner and laptop in its original packaging with all component pieces.

Incisive’ s network allows us to offer premium products at competitive prices. By leveraging our scale and negotiating power, we can provide you with rates below market average.

You are charged the lease payment less your rebate total. If, for example, your lab utilization was $10,000 when the commitment was $10,500, you would owe Incisive $150 for use of the scanner in the quarter. Not bad – $50/month for a Trios 5…You’d have spent more than that on PVS!

You’ll agree to a lease payment for the scanner with Incisive. At the end of the quarter, we calculate your rebate based on the “In Network Usage” and only bill you if the rebate doesn’t net your payment to zero. 99% of the time, our clients have no lease payment and that’s how we like it.

You’ll pay the labs directly. Incisive wants to support better lab relationships without getting in the way. You’ll know the lab directly, work directly with the same technicians, and yes, pay the lab directly.

While most labs use a monthly measurement period, Incisive wants to support our members beyond scanners and lab work. By providing a longer time horizon, we support our members taking vacations, dealing with slower months, or family emergencies without sending a bill. We aren’t interested in nickel and diming our members.
